KOAR Skin Therapy Is the Real Deal

Since having my little peanut, I haven't had all that much time to go to clinics for facials and peels, so I've prioritised home kits that allow me to DIY it.

I've tested a lot. I seem to buy a new product weekly, and, while I love my skincare, a carefully curated option is something that I need. Some products have contraindications, so allowing an expert to show you what works well together is key. This is especially so if you're a bit of a skincare novice.

Luckily for me, I know my stuff. I won't put anything on my skin without checking everything thoroughly. High Street brands are no no. Your expensive department store brands should not go anywhere near your face. Choose only active and natural when it comes to your skin.

Koar Skin Therapy is just that. It's an Aussie brand and was founded by a mother that wanted an active skincare range made purely from natural ingredients. When she couldn't find these, she decided to launch her own.

I got to try the enzyme peel. Peels are excellent at speeding up cell turnover, revealing baby soft skin in the process. In-clinic treatments can be pricey. Trust me, I've spent a small fortune on them, but at-home versions are milder and much more affordable. This peel was gentle, yet effective.

I followed by using the hyaluronic smoothing serum and the 24k gold gel moisturiser that soaked into my parched face.

One quality of a good moisturiser is if it doesn't cause pillowing. This gel moisturiser allowed me to glow without any build up. It was the first time I'd tried a gel moisturiser and I'm sold on the idea!

I found this skincare range really simple to use. Time is of the essence, so having a step-by-step routine that is easy to follow is a must.

I didn't grow up in Australia, but I have noticed how harsh the sun is since moving here, and I know that Aussies need a different type of skincare. They need to hydrate against the drying weather and allow for skin to be plumped and hydrated. SPF is an absolute must too. Investing in your skin in your 20s and 30s will pay off.

Affordable skincare is where it's at. You don't have to spend a fortune on a multitude of serums when you've got a curated range that lasts months.

The products are entirely made in Australia. For me, that's super important. I like to check where my products are manufactured, not least because some countries make it mandatory to test on animals. Koar is 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
